When
students are medically able to do so, they are able to engage in a Physical
Education program every Tuesday, delivered by a fully qualified Physical
Education teacher.
Our
Physical Education program consists of the explicit teaching of swimming (in
Terms 1 and 4) and gross motor skills. The swimming program is delivered onsite
at the Mater Group staff pool, a short walk behind the Mater Mothers' Hospital.
The gross motor skills program is delivered within our campus playgrounds,
either on Junior or Senior campuses, or on the green lawn behind the Queensland
Children's Hospital.
