Senior Secondary Curriculum offerings

Depending on their pathway, students in Years 10, 11 and 12 at the Queensland Children's Hospital School may engage with the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) senior curriculum, including Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) pathways, or Vocational Education and Training (VET) options. 

Short Courses

  • Literacy 
  • Numeracy 
  • Career Education

Short Courses are one-unit courses of study that are suited to students who are interested in pathways beyond school that lead to vocational education and training or work.  Short Courses may contribute one credit towards a QCE.

Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses

  • SELF program
  • Certificate II Functional Literacy
  • Certificate I-II in General Education for Adults
  • Certificate I-II Active Volunteering
